Instead, the logic board seems to be implicated. Likewise, in the case fo the MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo, it appears that this issue is not directly related to any defect in the display, as that is not the part being replaced in most cases. I have not taken this up with Apple yet because of the Xmas holiday.Īs previously noted, this issue is reminiscent of a problem that plagued some iBook G4s, generally resolved by logic board replacement. This has appeared twice at full screen brightness and has reduced with restart, but is always visible if the brightness is turned down a few notches. However, we continue to receive reports of the issue afflicting currently shipping machines. There was some hope that a previously reported issue where MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo (Late 2006) display flickering or suffer from appearance of horizontal distortion lines would be resolved with minor revisions to the product.
